My SS cooker hood is really annoying me. It doesn't match. What kind of paint can I use.

Has anyone ever attempted it?

Too poor to afford the one I really want Sad

I haven't attempted it ... but sounds do able ! depends on the finish you want - but I've had good results with hammerite smooth before, on metal file cabinets - and painted a metal bed with it too !

You could but it probably won't look as good as you hope.

To do a decent job you would have to lift it off the wall and partially dismantle it, clean very thoroughly, take outdoors because of the overspray. To avoid wind and falling dust, it is best to put things in a very large cardboard box, on its side with the opening facing you, and with the workpiece supported on stands, before spraying.

If you spray indoors you will get irremovable paint on everything near.

I don't like Hammerite.
