Hi
Just wanted to find out if anyone has any experience of using non-farrow and ball primers with farrow and ball paint..
Thanks!

Primer is just the very first coat that makes the rest go on easier. Use a solvent based (oil) primer of any make you like. F&B is overpriced and doesn't cover that well either IMO. Johnsons is way cheaper, just as good and the colours approx' the same. Sorry if that doesn't help or it's too late!

Do not use oil based primer with farrow and ball paint as all their paints are water based and it will not adhere. You must use water based primer whatever the brand.

All of there gloss is acrylic?

If so I apologise. Acrylic primer/undercoat should be used then.
