How much do removal firms charge?

Can someone give me an idea of how much removal firms have quoted them please. We are in a two bedroomed house so probably have less than some to move, but just need a general idea to work out moving costs at the moment.

We just got a quote for our two bed today, £560. We based in the south west if that makes any difference.

We've been quoted around £1500 on average for local move, 4 beds, South East. (Not sure how helpful this is).

We moved in the summer and the removal firm charged £50pw. It took the bones of 5 hours but we had a 3 bedroom house and my dh (a teacher) has more boxes of books and paper and crap than anyone they had come across since the last hoarding teacher that they moved. Also we were moving almost an hour away.

If everything is packed up, its not a long journey and you don't have a hoarder of your own it should be done within 3 hours. Its completely worth it btw.

Forgot to say our move is roughly 30miles.

Bloody hell - we obviously got a great deal . We are in NI though.

Thanks for your replies - so far. There seems to be such a difference. Forgot to say we'll only be going between 0.5-2miles away as we want to stay in the same area.
