Blocked toilet. Help!!

Any advice on this would be very welcome.

I don't see any ahem 'blockages' the water is clear. It takes an age to drain down though.

I have tried pouring a bucket warm water from as high as I can manage - numerous times.

Found some sink/drainhole unblocker and shoved that in overnight.

But, it is still not right..

It's hard to get a hand in. As the pipe is quite narrow and bendy - and I suspect that any blockage must be further into the pipes.

I may try the Karcher pressure washer on it later , but that could be quite messy.

Try a plonger.

do you think it is a toy? or a "disposable?"?

fashion a long hook from a wire coathanger. Try not to scratch the visible enamel much. A plastic-coated wire is better for that.

We don't have a plunger - but I can get to the hardware shop today and pick one up.

No, DS is 16- and we don't flush anything down apart from waste and loo paper.

I will find an old wire hanger and proddle around.

I'll report back with results.

sometimes people use kitchen roll if the person paid for getting loo paper has gone away.

Oh gosh, I hope not. We have the extra large, extra sturdy Costco kitchen roll!

Fixed.

I went up there, armed with a jug, bucket, rubber gloves and a coat hanger. DH said "have you tried wiggling the pipe?". I hadn't. He did that and it went down - straightaway.

We have a corner toilet - but the plumber fitted it on to the existing outlet - so it has a very tight kink.

I even took a photo

But can't figure out how to post it.

Anyway - now I know for the future. I wish he had mentioned this method to me last night.

I take it you have a convoluted flexible hose

careful with wire coat hangers, as they could perforate it.

No, it isn't flexible - just a bit loose.. hence the wobblability.

I suspect the plumber who fitted it didn't take this into account. When we re do the bathroom I will make sure we get it sited straight on - rather than a corner toilet.
