MICE

Last couple of months we've heard mice scurrying around in our walls and ceilings/the floors of the flat above and not sure what to do about it. There's no way we can get into the walls/ceiling to put traps down, and then wouldn't want dead mice decomposing in there.

Would those electrical noise signal things help? The plugs are all floor-level, obviously, so doubt they'd reach the ceiling.

I'm used to the scurrying as grew up in a micey, drafty country cottage, but they drive DH mad, and coincidentally 2 of our main lights have stopped working, perhaps because the wires have been chewed through?? (That's merely speculation, but has made me think we should get the mice sorted. Finding an electrician is a whole other thread)

Would love any advice!

Poison worked for us. Never noticed any nasty smells or dead mice.

OK cool. How would I get it into the ceiling/walls though?? Have never noticed any sign of them actually in the flat.

We had poisoned corn, it was dyed a red colour and easy to spot. We just left little piles of it in the loft. We knew they were up there because we could hear them merrily scurrying their way about right over our heads. Grin Corn gradually disappeared and so did the mice.

Mouse traps and squished chocolate raisins, they simply can't resist.
We heard scurrying but some raisins coaxed them out into the open.
It seems Cruel but a couple of vermicelli like droppings on dd's pillow was the final straw!!
