any free software for room design?

I'm trying to play the layout of a couple kd rooms (study and dining room) but they're awkward sizes/shapes so difficult to visualise. Can anyone recommend any free software which would help?

I've used floorplanner.com - you're allowed one floor plan free, but this is up to 3 storeys so I've used in to design the downstairs three different ways still can't decide where to put stuff. I used icovia too but it annoyed me that the measurements were in imperial (but that might just be me being a bit rubbish)...

There's some free software called Sweet Home 3D. We haven't used it properly yet but it looks ok.
