White floor paint - any recommendations?

We are going to paint the floorboards in our living room, does anyone have a recommendation for a good quality, hard wearing white floor paint? Matt rather than glossy.

Sorry I can't help with white (hopefully someone else can) but we've just used Leyland floor paint in "Nimbus Grey" on some floor boards. Once it's fully dry it is not glossy (it is worryingly shiny for the first day or two), and it seems like a strong finish. Quite a pale grey colour if that's any good to you? I don't think they sell white.

I used international floor paint - I liked it, it's hard wearing but you do need to put two coats on and it's expensive. It's not totally matt, but it's not very shiny and nothing stays shiny on the floor anyway

I'm about to do our floorboards ( once the ceiling is fixed.. grrr) and I think I'll use Little Greene floor paint. I've done a fair bit of painting recently with bothe their oil based eggshell, water based eggshell and emulsion and it gives good coverage and is lovely to paint with so I'm hoping the floor will be the same. Worth looking at as the colours are good too.

How often do you have to repaint light coloured wooden floor or is there a way to seal it which isn't slippery?

A friend has painted her floor, which she loves and I think looks awfulUnless you want a floor covered in marks, scratches and that constantly looks grubby!

I don't find mine looks constantly grubby, but it's dark downstairs and pale upstairs, which may help.

I intend to have a large rug which will cover the 'high traffic' area of the living room, so I am hoping the paint should last quite a while.

I've been debating whether or not to do it for so long, I've now decided to take the plunge! We can always sand back if it is truly awful.

I didn't do white, but me, my parents abd my aunt have used farrow and ball floor paint - it is awful! next time I will be using Leyland like the paint shop actually suggested and demonstrated to me. bloody expensive mistake.

I used a ronseal one and was it awful, paint was very very watery and within days it chipped and went yellowish. Am going to go over it with a garage floor paint I think.

The (independent) paint shop showed me their warehouse floor, painted in leyland grey, which had not been painted for 5 years and had vans driving over it - it was in better condition than my f&b floors after 3 days I think the leyland one is also water based and quick drying like the f&b but only comes in abut 8 shades but the paint shop could mix me a mid or light tone if wanted. I forked out for the f&b though because I wanted the really dark tanners brown. As another bonus the paint shop said that the leyland did not need an undercoat or primer - if painting wood they said to give 2-3 coats, letting the first sink in to the wood for good adhesion and coverage. My tins of f&b cost £95-ish and the same size leyland would have been £35 per tin
As a teenager I painted my bedroom floor in cheap white gloss and yes it chipped, but looked like it was supposed to be like that iyswim?
