Polished concrete floors

Does anyone know someone who will do polished concrete flooring at a reasonable cost? Looking on houzz I can find estimates in us for less than $10 per square foot for polishing. Yet here costs seem to vary between £60 and £400. Does anyone know anyone who will do this at reasonable cost

Well I've been looking into this and just go round round in circles. I can't seem to find anyone who can do it for less than £120 per sq m, it just seems mad to me.

We are looking at a large area, our builder has talked about power floating then polishing, or polishing a screed but we have lots of worries about it cracking (we are having under floor heating) or it ending up looking like we ran out of money and couldn't afford floor finishes so it seems too risky to just let the builder do it.

The specialist companies add aggregate which them looks good when polished and the polishing seems to take hours.

We keep going back to saying we will have a poured resin floor instead, but it's really annoying as what we really want is concrete!

It does seem a bit mad that it could cost that much, especially compared to the houzz estimates! I was hoping it would be an economical solution to an area which already has an old concrete floor but seems not.
