...how tall is it?

Our MDF has just arrived and it is 1.22 metres (4 foot). It's taller than I imagined and I think it might look a bit overpowering so thinking of getting it cut down. But don't know what would be a good height. Is there a 'standard' or does it depend on personal preference? How tall is yours? Thanks!

Mine is horizontal and covers the whole wall - but for vertical I'd usually go for 2/3's of the room height - or to the same height as the basin if you preference a lower look .

Just measured ours - it's 42.5 inches Confused
It gives a 7" 'splashback' above the sink.

Thanks seuna I think that is the exact measurment ours will be - I asked them to cut 6 inches off (which should bring it down to 42 inches) but the plumber has just pointed out that the plasterer hasn't quite plastered down that low, so it will need to be a smidgeon over.

Boob height - I'm 5'2" so probably about 4'. It's going to be lower in our en suite though, as it's a smaller room.
