Just need to vent as sat here biting my tongue!
We took on some builders to do some jobs around the house, they told us it would take 2 weeks. Excellent!
We are now sat here on our THIRD weekend without being able to do anything around the house, keeping the dogs penned into one room etc because they are in today working! I know working weekends shows "dedication" etc but this is as a result of turning up when they feel like it in the week, leaving early. Texting me in the afternoon on a couple of occasions to say they've not been at all that day!
The only light at the end of this dark tunnel is that apparently they have another job to start Monday so have to get finished today?! It's been drama after drama and I am never doing this again :( Arranging the timing of deliveries with them and then being told the DAY BEFORE that they won't be here to accept the stuff (building stuff)...resulting in begging last min day off work.
My husband and I, like many, work so hard all week, our weekends are so precious but here we are "stuck" not being able to get on with anything around the house as there is wet paint everywhere and they still have a couple of doors etc to hang.
I know these aren't real problems, but arghhhhhgg!! I'm so venting! (And overusing the exclamation mark!)
I want my Saturday back :(
