Fence cost.. Does this sound like a lot?

My mum and dad need a new fence including concrete posts and building up underneath, say approx 5m in length. They have been quoted £700 for 2 men to spend 2 days doing this and removing old fence. Does this sound like a lot? Would be grateful for any advice, thanks

I had a quote for that - it was £1800

We've just been quoted 535 for 3 fence panels, concrete posts and a gate supplied and fitted

If that includes the fencing and concrete i'd say its a good price. At i'd guess £125/ person/ day thats £500 labour and £200 stuff.

I paid approx £400 just before christmas to have 5 panels and 4 or 5 posts (can't remember and not going out in the rain to check) replaced. Frustratingly the bloke was coming over on the Tuesday anyway to just replace the posts. Monday night huge storms destroyed the panels too :( It didn't take that long -less than a days work for two blokes. He took my old fence to the tip too (took two trips)

Where do you live, we had trees removed new concrete post and base panel 3 x 6ft high heavy duty panels for £300

It's usually about £60 per complete panel to buy, have a look on line even b and q

I've just paid £300 for four fence panels, a fence post and concrete.

You'd have to add labour to that, but £400 for two blokes to work two days doesn't sound that bad.

We are just having a new drive with fencing along one side and part of both fronts
The fence panels are £15 each 6ft x 4ft
concrete posts £10 each
concrete base 1800mm long £10

Had a quote for 7k to fence our garden, think we won't be getting a fence.
