Carpet cleaning. A revelation

Paid £80 and a nice man steam cleaned lounge carpet and stairs and landing. It was dry within a couple of hours and carpet as good as new. Marvellous. Would recommend it as an alternative to a new carpet!

We paid £24 or so and hired a professional machine from Tesco (our local Homebase had one too), it took an hour or so and specialist shampoo was maybe £10. But like you found it was a revelation for us! The water that came out of the machine was black with grime, I was amazed

I don't understand why it would be a "revelation" however as we all know how dirty hard floor surfaces get so it doesn't take a lot of imagination to think about carpets and dirt.

I think the revelation is that they actually come clean. Not that they're dirty ;)

It's always stunning to look in the dirty-water bin and see the filth that comes out, from downstairs carpets especially.

Typical. Always someone ready to rain on your parade! OK maybe not a revelation but certainly a welcome suprise. Cheap, quick and totally revitalised my carpets. That's all!
