hello
we are getting quotes for moving a wall downstairs to create a kitchen diner instead of a sitting room diner. we want to be able to use both rooms without too much sound travelling through. eg piano playing and tv next door or eating and baby napping next door.
we are getting quotes for a sound proofed stud wall but double glazed double doors are coming up expensive.
can anyone offer advice - would you go for normal glass doors, fireproofed non glazed doors or stick with expensive doors for maximum light going into the sitting room?
does not having sound proofed door make a mockery of sound proofing the stud?
has anyone got any experience of such sound proofing and what might you do?
thanks!
