Painting Kitchen Cupboards

Do you know if you can paint over glossy white kitchen cabinet doors? I was hoping to refresh my kitchen but not sure how successful it would be to paint over this kind of surface.

It's better to get them professionally painted IME. They will need a light sanding then depending on the finish you want - either spray painted or hand painted.
