We live in a house approximately 100 years old. To the left of the front door we keep getting a obvious damp patch appear it rises up above the skirting board to about 40 cm high. On the external side of this is some soil which we have made sure is below the damp proof course. It always appears darker when we get rain. Any ideas if it is rising damp or something else?
