flooring over suspended floorboards

Ok-not the most interesting of topics, but I'm genuinely thinking about this way too much.

We have exposed sanded floorboards in our hallway. They are in a terrible state and we shouldn't have gone to the trouble tbh. They are draughty, full of holes etc.
I want to cover them. Was thinking tiles or vinyl. But I'm a bit concerned about what would happen if we need to get under the floorboards. We had a new boiler fitted last year and the removed the floor.
Is there a floor that is easy to lift up (not carpet! Not with 2 dogs and dcs). Or is it a non issue as it happens so rarely?
Anyone tiled over floorboards and had to rip them up? Were they ruined?
