Chequerboard pattern for 3 tile colours please .... can't seem to find one

I would love the look of traditional Victorian tiles in my hall but the ££££ are prohibitive, as a nod to the style I was wondering about creating a chequerboard pattern using my three favourite tile colours (terracotta, cream and black). I have seen lots of black / white patterns but none with 3 or 4 colours - any MN expert out there who has used one or know where I could see an image of one. Thanks as always Thanks

How about doing a square of alternating cream and black in three rows, but with the middle tile in the second row being terracotta?

Have a look at Original Style's website for inspiration.

Thanks Guccigirly I'll have a look, beginning to think that it will be very difficult to pull off.

I think you could simplify this one to include just three colours of square tiles I think.

Oops, second one down on that link.

Thanks PrimalLass, the second one down is very nice, I must try and get a few of my chosen tile colours and see what that pattern would look like on the floor. Maybe having a border of the ivory tile would look well and cost v little. So much to think about my head hurts....
