At the beginning of October we had an offer accepted on the house of our dreams. Much to our surprise, we sold to a cash buyer a month later. They have agreed to let us stay here until the end of May, which is great.Then, nothing. Our vendor is buying, privately, from the guy next door, who hasn't had an offer accepted on a house yet. We had a chat with her yesterday and , apparently, he wants to have a meeting with her at the end of the month, she doesn't know what about. Would it be unreasonable of us to call her back and get her to find out - but what could the reason be? If they wanted to raise the price, why wait for two weeks?
We are looking at other places, but love this house so much that nothing else comes close.
So, i'd be really grateful of any guidance anyone can come up with.

If your vendor can't buy her neighbours house does she still want to move?

Maybe you can suggest to her that she should start looking now in case her vendor can't/won't proceed.

No, if she can't move next door she doesn't want to move.

I don't think there's much you can do, except start looking again.

And yes, if you are on speaking terms with her encourage her to find out what he wants to say to her, as both you and your buyers want to know what the situation is and need to know there is a complete chain at the top.
