Was wondering if there's any success story's of getting a council house after being on it so long or moving in to a private let
I've been on the list since 16 now 30 been living with my family since along with my DD now 10 after going back and forward to the council about a house I always got told not enough points etc and they way they saw it we weren't over crowded even though me and DD shared a bed room was told to get a house off them I would need to become homeless which my parents weren't going to do or get a private let
I now have a private let moved in last sat so far its ok not great and can't see my self being here for a long time not really happy with it but will do for now my lease is a short assured tenancy
How long before the council offer me a place and how long do I need to wait ? Or do I speak to them about my application as I would need a place near to my mum due to my dad being ill
Any advice welcome will stay here till I need to as I havent paid my 1st bills yet plus see if I still Have a job after Feb
