Has anyone fitted out a dressing room?

We've just offered on a house which has a 'spare' spare by the master which I want to turn into - yes! I am grown up! finally! - a dressing room. It's double bedroom size.

Has anyone done one? I'm assuming those firms you see in newspaper supplements are a) pricey b) naff.

Are there any good companies to make snazzy fitted wardrobes?

Could I realistically do it myself with Ikea or equivalent?

Could a carpenter or is it too big a job/would look a bit MDF and crap?

I don't have a dressing room but would love one. Have you looked at Pinterest? There are lots on there..I bet a local joiner could knock one up quite simply.

I would go down the joiner route too, if your home has spare rooms of that size to spare.

Yes ! It's great to have a place that's just for you and your stuff !! You can go down the ikea route - www.houzz.com/ideabooks/9321660 here an idea book with a design for a his' n hers dressing room - or you can go for Jali - they do bespoke in a flat pack box ! Brilliant !!! Hav.e fun and enjoy it !!! Lucky you !!!
