To sort out misty double glazed windows? we have one that looks like it's going. Just wondered about prices.

Yes! We had a chap from them do our patio doors, turned out the guy who did up our house (before we bought) had fitted them wrongly. Can't remember how much but it was much, much cheaper than getting the whole thing replaced.

Thanks Jump. I think they are a franchise, I will give them a ring. The fact you can't remember the cost must mean you weren't Shock.

Yes a couple of times - have been happy with price and work (simple replacement of window section, and replaced a rusty hinge) There's a minimum fee of about £60 so may be worth having a couple of things done at the same time if there is more than one problem.

So for two smallish windows what could it be do you think?

Cloudy 2 Clear quoted for replacement glass in one window for me. When I hesitated, they reduced price by £30 but were still £50 more expensive than a local company quoted. Check your local paper for local people, it will very likely be more competitive.

Ps my window cost £190, above average in size.

Thanks Spickle I will ring them i think, and see what they say.

Ok so this query is a long time ago now BUT.... hear goes. We had Cloudy2Clear replace our patio door panes last week by David Woodman from Alfreton, Nottingham. He serves Nottingham area & is of course a franchisee.
The "panes" were fine... but the service left a lot to be desired. Be warned, they don't replace any seals!! well, he doesn't. It took a lot of complaining before he agreed to remove the rotting seals (bottom of doors) & replace it with some poorly applied sealant. I could go on but the most disappointing thing was that BOTH panes were scratched with his chisle.. i've no doubt on purpose! not just once but several times across the tops. This wasn't noticable untill later when i was cleaning the doors down.
The price...£550.00. I would never recommend him to anyone. I can't speak for other areas of course.
I have tried to put a review on his & the main site but of course this isn't possible & if you read their testimonals it's all great!
I really hope this is of some use to others if not yourself.

I had a quote for 4 large units in my wooden conservatory for £ 1,100, I had the job done for £ 495 by energy efficient logik windows which included an additional bedroom window

I had Cloudy to Clear replace one window in 2014 by Dave Woodman and it is now running inside with condensation. Contacted Cloudy to Clear and, as he is no longer a franchisee with them, the guarantee is null so I will have to pay for new replacement. Because of these comments about his work, I may go back to them to see if they will honour the guarantee because bad workmanship is evidently why they don't use him any more
