best product to get rid of brown limescale in and around plugs

We've got really good quality sinks/bath products etc - but the plugs and the surround to the plughole keep getting brown no matter how we srub and use lime scale prevention products.

Any suggestions? It's all only a year old

I swesr by Viakal and a toothbrush. I also have a steam cleaner which I blast the bathroom with - it helps in small gaps and crevasses.

save up for a water softener.

Sorry.

I also use viakal and it really is good stuff. My husband took over the shower head (one of the really large square modern ones) which was covered in limescale and it looks like new after a good soaking and some scrubbing.

I swear by this stuff Kilrock, any of the this brand is good but the gel is best for job like these as it stays in place.
