LED ceiling panels

Has anyone installed or considered an LED panel for lighting their kitchen or elsewhere in the house? If so, how is it, and how easy was installation? Does it look very industrial, or do you not notice it much? We currently have solid ceilings with spotlights on a track which I don't like. Just looking at other options. Don't fancy downlights.

Bump - just in case...

Just in case anyone else is looking at lighting options - we have just had the LED panels fitted and I absolutely LOVE them! Unobtrusive, bright and even lighting. I don't know why they aren't more popular (well, I do know why, it's because they are marketed only for industrial/commercial applications and not domestic).

I'm intrigued by the idea, where did you get them from???

My other half actually bought them, so I'm not sure exactly where from, but if you start looking you'll find quite a few suppliers. Ours are 60x60cm, and if you are fitting them to a flat ceiling you have to make sure you get a mounting box for them. The mounting box which came with ours was white, which is perhaps better than a shiny metal box.
The ones we originally looked at were "JCC" brand but we didn't get those because the mounting boxes seemed very expensive compared to the panels themselves. The ones we've got now came with the boxes/frames and transformers included.

Not sure how nice they'd be in a room other than the kitchen or bathroom where you maybe need something softer, but they are great for what we wanted. If you squint (a lot) you can pretend they are sky-lights!

Smile sounds good
I've been looking for led lights but nothing grabs me, they all seem a bit fancy. like the idea of flush with ceiling and unobtrusive, but not downlighters. thanks. off to Google
