what would you have? i think white so they blend in with ceiling but builder is saying something about they won't be exactly the same white as the ceiling anyway. Any thoughts? Is for kitchen/diner, bathrooms, playroom and hallway, so quite a lot! thanks

Now normally I would be all over the chrome but I think white in this instance because it blends in - yes obviously they will be the perfect white as the ceiling paint but come on unless the white is not really white that it will be noticeable - can you not buy one of each, fit them and see which you prefer and then take the one you don't like back?

white! and if they are not the right white, maybe you can paint over them? we did this with some fairly old and yellowing downlighter fittings in our house. they were matt white rather than shiny though which made painting them easier.
