Ikea sink fitted into Howdens unit - anyone done this

Am looking at a Howdens kitchen but want a double Belfast sink. Having previously had an Ikea one I was quite happy with it. Howdens say they just need the dimensions of the sink to make it fit but if anyone has done this before either with an Ikea or any other sink I'd be keen to hear your experiences

The brand of sink and the brand of unit does not matter, assuming you choose a big enough unit.

Kitchen makers do not make sinks, and sink makers do not make units. Sinks usually come with a paper template for marking and cutting the worktop. You might be able to get one prior to delivery of the sink.

I fitted the double Ikea belfast sink into a magnet unit. They didn't do the off the shelf combination of cover piece for the bit over the sink and door for below so that took a bit of measuring and working out. I ended up ordering a drawer front and a top cupboard door. It worked well.

I wanted to keep the bins under the sink so ordered the runners for the door, to make it like a drawer, from Ikea.
