Has anyone had a garden building built?

I'm thinking of having a small building in my garden to act as an office.

It won't be big because it's got to fit in a tight space but it needs to be insulated for use in winter and have electric power

Any tips? Ideas on cost? Things to avoid?

I'm based in the south east so if you can recommend a company...

I know this is shameless brain picking but I'm quite nervous about starting a project this big on my own

We have a Malvern one. It's insulated and we have had it wired. ( it has about 4 double sockets). We has to have a concrete base installed then the building company arrived and erected it in two days. It cost about 10k if I remember rightly.
In our previous house it required planning- we have since moved and had the building moved. In our current house it didn't require planning.

Think this is similar to ours.

Oh owl that is so pretty. I didn't envisage it being so much glass though iykwim. I think it'd be cold in winter. I've bookmarked that site to see what else they do though so thank you very much

We had one of the end windows left out, but to be honest we've never had a problem with the cold. Dh has a plug in radiator with a thermostat but keeps the rear vents open. Apparently it's insulated to the same level as a new build and all windows are double glazed. There's loads of different options- we looked at a lot in our local Dobies.
