Just wondered if any of you had had a false ceiling put up.Our bedroom is below neighbours bedroom and you can hear everything! Its not so much antisocial, just thumping about, dog jumping about. .talking laughing. Usually through the night I might add. Tried to talk to them, but not getting anywhere. .we'r shattered :-( so Iv heard that you can soundproof ceilings, haven't got a lot to spend tho, has anyone done this and is it effective?

I had a wall soundproofed (false wall, insulated etc).
It wasn't 100% effective but I would say it cut 60-70 % of the Madonna music being played all night, along with the loud singing, shouting etc!
Not sure how good it would be at cutting noise from above though...
