Hmm that's not nice is it?

Can get much nicer in London for that money [and a lot less]

London1975 · 02/01/2014 19:58

That's £

London1975 · 02/01/2014 20:00

That's £582 per sq foot - for london that's a bargain!

We are house hunting in an area of west london where the norm is £1,000 per sq foot ... Utterly depressing isn't it :-(

RandomMess · 02/01/2014 20:04
Sad

yep it is isn't it. Being in the guaranteed catchment area of a great school is worth a lot when there aren't enough school places to go around!

London1975 · 02/01/2014 20:06

And even when you choose to go private and catchment area isn't an issue, it's still a battle and a half getting your first choice of schools.

MoonlightandRoses · 02/01/2014 21:42

That is quite hideous - particularly when you can get this one for a mere 50k more.

KrabbyPatty · 02/01/2014 21:45

Wow. I guess that's location for you as the house is awful.

Wtf is the blockwork wall in the garden - grim.

handcream · 02/01/2014 21:52

The house isnt nice, however for all of the posters saying you could get double the size for half the price - yes, well you could but anyone who has brought in London over the years has made tons of money on property in general. The house in the middle of nowhere will not go up in value as quickly as a house in London.

My DM has a very small 2 bed house in West London. It has gone up considerably since she brought 25 years ago. Its her only property and of course prices could crash etc etc. But somehow I dont think so.
