Help! I've cracked my sink

A glass pot of face cream fell out of my bathroom cabinet and into my sink. Didn't notice at first but after cleaning the sink with a blue cloth, the blue has gone into the crack and made it show up. Called in my OH to see and he rubbed it with dirty hands and now I have a black and blue line in my sink. What should I do?

I did this but it wasn't a crack but a massive hole. Had to sell the house ...(we were selling anyway...) for cracks you can buy a ceramic fixer especially for this kind of problem. Worth a go otherwise it's live with it or a new sink. If it doesn't leak water, then at least you could live with it?

I had the same problem. I chipped a chunk out of the kitchen sink.
Check to see if your household insurance covers it, ours didn't but many do.
I looked at the cost of a professional repair, it was £400+
We bought a kit from Amazon, it's worked well enough. Not perfect but unless you look very closely you can't tell.

Buy a new bathroom basin. They are not at all expensive.

You might like to fit new taps as well, have a look on Plumbworld.

Unless you have a combined or a pressurised cylinder such as a Megaflo I do not recommend one-hole mixers as they restrict the flow.

Any plumber will advise against shelves and cabinets above basins for the exact reason you have just discovered.
