Ooooh lovely houses that are just a few hundred thousand out of reach, not the completely unrealistic fantasy ones ...

I like looking at amazing houses on here and on Rightmove, but most of them are just day-dream material.

I actually get more of a frisson of excitement by looking at the ones that are tantalizingly out of reach but which we might actually realistically move to if we had better jobs/more dosh/an inheritance/a moderate win on the lottery ...

So, mine might be this one, for eg. Big house, lovely area, loads of potential. Can't afford it Sad.

Who else? Post your hearts desire "almost there" houses for us all to admire ...

This one would do me.

Mintyy · 28/12/2013 20:43

Its lovely cece but no splashback behind the kitchen sink Shock! And so expensive?

Look at the location though.

PiratesLifeForMe · 28/12/2013 22:03

Oh that beach!!

ArgumentsatChristmas · 28/12/2013 22:11

I think Cece's house is stunning and much better value than the OP's!

For not much more than a semi in Sydenham, what about this? Or this?

cece · 28/12/2013 22:11

I could like this one too.

cece · 28/12/2013 22:12

argument I like that first one and I don't normally like older houses.

EeyoreIsh · 28/12/2013 22:14

I love that cornish one cece

TheLostPelvicFloorOfPoosh · 28/12/2013 22:18

This one would be just fine for me.

SmileItsSunny · 28/12/2013 22:18

Or this, set in the Hampshire Hills?

way out of budget

TheLostPelvicFloorOfPoosh · 28/12/2013 22:19

The first Harrogate one is also gorgeous

SmileItsSunny · 28/12/2013 22:21

less than half the price

cece · 28/12/2013 22:30

pelvic floor - I love the tower in the grounds!

Pilcrow · 28/12/2013 22:51

This makes me salivate (though the decor, not so much).

It's worth less than the house we live in now Xmas Shock but moving to Lincs might be tricky for the commute!

TheLostPelvicFloorOfPoosh · 28/12/2013 22:54

Lovely house Pilcrow but too many dolls - reminds me of Maelstrom or Drusilla from Buffy. Do the spirits of freaky dolls linger in a property once vacated?
