East Leeds Advice!

Hi All
I'm thinking of buying a property in the kelmscott area of Manston/Crossgates/East Leeds. Don't know the area very well - any advice appreciated!

Depends what you are looking for.
Lots of professional couples with children. Train station in Crossgates, nice M & S food, close to motorway for easy links. Retail park a Colton with Sainsburys, Boots, argos etc.
Popular schools, lots of nurseries/childminders. Easy travel into centre of Leeds. Commuting distance for Leeds/Harrogate.
I would avoid the new houses/flats by Asda.
New houses as well as older, more traditional ones with more character.
