First crew dug up pavement and somehow got a wire through into the middle of our garden.

Second installer a few days later said that wasn't needed and proceeded to install the system. We pointed out the wiring in the mdidle of our garden and our neighbour saw him just yank it out when we had our backs turned.

Is that okay or are there implications we should be aware of. I bet Piglet John will come along with words of wisdom.

Mm okay, maybe I was being over suspicious but I thought that something might be connected that might have needed digging out again.

if you are in a cable TV area, you might have a very fast cable. If they have attached it to an existing copper cable from a BT phone line it will probably be OK. If you already had cable TV wired to your house they could use that. The terminal box (plastic) on your house for cable is about 8" x 4" (mine is anyway) rather than an ordinary phone box which is about 3" x 3"

It is extremely difficult to get them to install the cable neatly. They usually stuff it in a green plastic duct and hide it in your flowerbed. They don't like digging trenches.

If you have cable TV in your road, there will be twice as many rectangular "manhole" covers in the pavement. Some will be marked BT or PO and some will be marked CTV or something.
