We are in the middle of the nightmare that is decorating lounge. I had found an image online of a mainly plain painted room (Elephants Breath) with just a contrasting colour at the back of the alcoves either side of the fireplace (Charleston Grey). All the woodwork / shelving in the alcoves white. Havevtried to upload this onto my profile.
So we have done this but it doesnt look like the image (more fool me for being a slave to a photograph!). The Elephants Breath looks very mushroom / fawn coloured (not much of the greyish tinge I was expecting) and the Charleston Grey looks like, well, milk chocolate. I do like the Elephants Breath but I need suggestions for other contrasting colours - definitely something with less of a brown tinge / more grey. Any recommendations? I've overspent already so cant afford to make another mistake.
The lounge is East facing if that makes a difference, although its light with a big bay window.
