can only change the worktops, what colour to choose?

existing laminate badly needs replacing but having a dilemma on colour choice. currently black shiny porcelain floor tiles, homebase napoli maple doors with bleugh black fake marblesque worktop
whilst I do love black, my favourite colour , I wondered if something else would work, but there's so much choice.......I quite fancy something a bit sparkly

a mottled finish shows stains less. Teabags are especially bad. Some people like speckled grey.
