Lowering Cosatto cotbed: last Allan key screw won't go in

I am lowering my daughter's Cosatto cotbed and have almost finished, but one of the screws only goes about 3/4 of the way in. It's an Allan key screw and all the rest went in fine. I've tried taking all the others out and starting again, wiggling it about etc - it feels like something is preventing it going all the way in, but I don't see how that's possible.

Can anyone suggest anything?

(Subtext: my partner thinks I am useless at DIY, so I am very loathe to ask him to fix it when he gets home, I want to be able to go "Ta-dah, look what I did!" Yes, I am very childish.)

Thank you!

Fixed it! The metal fixer that the screw needs to go through had been twisted out of place. Only took me an hour and a half and the almost total dismantling of the bed to work that out :-)
