I want a Bluebell sofa

I have a white sand linen Bluebell sofa from Sofa.com and want another one in the same/ contrasting colour. Does anyone have a good fabric they can recommend? I am set on that particular design.

I recently got a sofa.com sofa in their pigeon herringbone fabric, which is lovely but might be a bit dark to go with what you have... how about the gull herringbone, it's really lovely (was just too light for us with a sticky toddler around)

their Pebble soft wool fabric is also lovely

oh dear, overuse of lovely. but you get the picture Smile

We have the bluebell loveseat in the rose (very pale pink) linen, and a 3 seater bluebell sofa plus armchair in the charcoal brushed cotton linen. So 2 dark pieces with a contrasting pale pink love seat. All look totally gorgeous together and have (so far, only bought them in the summer!) worn well so far.

PLus we have 3 children under the age of 7 and, as yet, no smeared bogies / porridge / chocolate sticky finger marks on ANY of the sofas yet but that's because I've left them wrapped up in their delivery plastic sheeting Grin

Order some fabric samples - I loved that little packet arriving, i think you can get up to 5 samples.

Thank you. I am glad other people think it's a lovely sofa!

it's gorgeous (jealous!)

Ooh, am having a Bluebell loveseat and a bluebell armchair delivered on Saturday (excited!) in a colour called Loch. Really looking forward to them (but will have to live with the sad old sofa for a while as we couldn't afford to replace it all at once)

NeveroddoreveN · 28/11/2013 19:33

Can anyone advise if you can wash the covers if you choose cotton for example? Thanks!

icravecheese · 28/11/2013 20:41

Never - I posted this very question on their website (I bought linen cotton), apparently they are fully removable covers if you wanted to wash them, but sofa.com recommends that you get them dry cleaned (I guess they could shrink and not fit back onto the cushions if washed - I used to wash my old sofa covers though and they always squeezed back onto the cushions with much huffing and puffing and straining!). I paid extra to have all the covers on my sofa.com sofas stain treated - wasnt too much of an expense in my opinion. MIght be worth considering?

greyvix · 29/11/2013 00:17

The stain treatment is definitely worth it, and guarantees the sofa too. I had a sofa replaced because of a stain that couldn't be removed.
Let us know about Loch when your delivery comes on Saturday!

OK, good plan re the stain treatment. I am loving the herringbone and strangely the dark grey tweed is catching my eye as something a bit different. Both nice and dark but I am doubtful they will wash! Thanks!

Love the look of the bluebell sofas. I may need to think about getting a new one next year. They don't seem to have the price anywhere and as not buying one just yet don't want to ring. What kind of price are they? Always puts me off when no prices!

greyvix · 30/11/2013 20:40

They are an average of £1000 for a 2 seater; house fabric is less and fabric such as linen is more. They do have the price when you choose a sofa and fabric on the website. As far as I am aware, they don't have sales.

They do have sales. Check sofa.com ebay clearance page. www.ebay.co.uk/sch/sofa.com_warehouse_clearance/m.html

Not only reduced but t&c indicates offers will also be considered. And yes, have bought in this manner including cheeky offer request which was accepted. In fact brand spanking gorgeous bed arrived this week. Same fabulous customer service as via website. And I really pushed it to the limit with changes I made to countless delivery dates. Only wish the Stella would come up for listing!

Have a lookey as there are always tons of bluebells listed.

gruffalo, are you enjoying your new furniture?
