Hi
I am looking for a new bed for DS. We would like to have storage underneath and for this bed to be suitable for him until his teens. So we have ruled out cabin and mid-sleeper beds. I think we are after a "captain's bed" but these seem fairly unusual and there are not many around that are nice.

I spotted this in a shop window last week:

Can anyone tell me where to get one (or something like it) with wooden drawers instead of canvas boxes as a single bed??

Otherwise any other nice suggestions welcomed!

TIA

Or this.

Our dc all have divan beds, with a slidedy door on the bottom instead of drawers, meaning you can fill the whole bit under the bed with stuff. We have so much in ours, not so good for heavy stuff, but out of season clothes, bedding, sleeping bags etc, its ideal.

I have one for sale!

Two drawers on each side and cupboard in middle. Lower than a high sleeper but a little higher than a standard divan. It served my son very well but he needs a double bed now.

Ikea hemnes? We have one in our spare room, pulls out to a double if required

thanks for the ideas!
for some reason i hadn't looked at ikea but maybe one of theirs would do..... just hankering after the wonderful storage in that first bed/link.

why are there so many trundle beds? are they really that useful? we haven't reached sleepover territory so advice needed!
