Its been a bit of a nightmare getting a mortgage agreed as I will be going on maternity leave in December and I've seen a few other people on threads saying its been hard work, so just wanted to share a recommendation for anyone in the same position. (I've no connection to them, just thought it might help anyone struggling to find a mortgage provider).
Leeds Building Society were willing to use my current wage for the mortgage application (some companies wouldn't use my wage at all, or would only take the half pay I will be on at the end of my maternity leave). They weren't at all bothered about me being pregnant, potentially extending maternity leave or going part time and were willing to lend quite a bit more than other providers. They were so easy to deal with and phoned to say they had approved the mortgage just 2 days after I posted the application to them.
Hope this info might help someone.
