slow architect?

As I've never used an architect before, can someone tell me if this experience is normal? She took 6 weeks to produce initial drawings- one plan only, nothing clever. I thought she'd give some alternatives, but basically just used my ideas, no new suggestions and didn't address some of the issues I'd raised e.g. flow to garden. I went back to her with some further suggestions but 10 days later, not even an acknowledgment. This will cost £1500, plus a further £2500 for building level drawings. Proper Riba architect, I really liked her when she came for the initial visit but tbh I just feel a bit of a mug in that she hasn't done much for her £1500 (although she hasn't invoiced me either!). She says she's really busy, but aibu to have expected something more?

oh dear ?! that sounds disappointing ? maybe a communication glitch ?! perhaps an email to her saying you are glad that she listened and has taken your ideas on board - but that you are now looking forward to her ideas and input on your project . if it's in an email - and therefore in writing - there's less chance of a misunderstanding ?!
hope it works ! :-)
