A good breathable paint for wall behind woodburner?

I need to repaint the inside of the old fireplace against the gable end walls, where we now have a woodburner fitted.

The back wall behind the stove in particular gets very damp when the stove's not on - you can actually see drops of moisture on it.

I'm thinking when I repaint I need a properly breathable paint. Does this make sense? If so, can anyone recommend a good one?

Thanks.

I'm not entirely sure about paint, but I have a similar situation and I was recommended to tile behind the stove?

I suppose it really does depend on your decor though. Is it definitely paint you want?

Take Care :)
