Hi,

We want to buy this oak timber kitchen from Wren Kitchens
www.wrenkitchens.com/kitchens/wood/framed-light-oak-timber?shape=lshaped

Can somebody tell me their experience with Wren? Positive or negative?
Does anybody know how the oak kitchen is different from Magnet or Howdens stores?

Many thanks

Flor

We bought ours from Wren as did PILs. Far better value for money IMHO than Howdens and Magnet. The biggest positive was that the cabinets came made rather than flat packed. 3 years on and both kitchens still look good and the pull out larders etc have managed to withstand the daily assault from our toddler too

We were hovering between Wren and Benchmarx. Eventually opted for the latter - prices /quality similar but the delivery from Benchmarx was swift and professional.

Google Wren and you will find everything you need to know.

We've just been doing a design with Wren. When it came time to hear the price, it reminded me of bad double glazing agents - this the normal price, but we have a promotion on so it will only cost you xx and maybe I could speak to my manager to get further reductions etc etc. I find that approach very off putting as I'm not good at haggling so I think I'm paying over the odds.

The price in the end was over £20k and there were several things they couldn't deal with e.g. their individual pullout shelves are nasty grey plastic, with no option for metal baskets and they don't do plinth drawers.

So we are probably going to go with Howdens. Though we haven't fully decided yet as we haven't appointed a builder yet so don't actually know how much Howdens will be.......
