We've been waiting on once last piece of info that we now have and should have a completion date for around the first week of December.

Our vendors are on the phone constantly and wanted a me November date, which we couldn't quite mange, but first week of December has been as near as we can get.

Now, now they're saying the 27/28th December! ShockShockShockShock

My solicitor is going to speak with their solicitors tomorrow to explain exactly why this will not be happening!

Argh! I just needed to rant!

I feel your frustration, we sold and bought in August and are still nowhere near moving. Of vendor is constantly on phone cos she is desperate to move out (due to personal reasons) and wanting to know why things aren't going quickly and our buyer is desperate to move in (first time buyer). We on the other hand are stressed to death with a rubbish solicitor who is in absolutely no hurry!

Rant away. It took nine months between our offer being accepted and completion - and this was with a supposedly simple chain. It was crap.

27\28 December is a ridiculous move date though. Who on earth wants to move then?!

Manchesterhistorygirl · 17/11/2013 21:39

Our idiot vendor doesn't see a problem with it! I imagine most of the mover companies will not be working that week.

She could go into rented, but won't! She keeps saying its upto me to have a plan B! It's her sister, who's house she's buying who's holding the chain up, apparently her vendor won't now move before Xmas! I've made it hugely clear it is not my problem, but OMG I could scream and rant!
