I've just seen this. Normally I can get past the decor, but this is a little bit too much.

Just wondering if Prince/Symbol perchance lived here incognito.

Would not want to be invited for dinner there....

optimusic · 16/11/2013 14:19

I'm thinking that someone doesn't really want to sell it. So, they have been googling all the things that put buyers off.. This would explain the illogical use of the dining/bedroom, the carpet, the weird bathroom. THe paint looks very fresh.

FannyMcNally · 16/11/2013 14:19

You've never heard of en-suite dining? You lot are so provincial.

struggling100 · 16/11/2013 15:28

I am speechless. And I think i just sicked up a little in my mouth.

Zippyzoppy · 16/11/2013 15:33

Let's hope the owners aren't members of mumsnet, or they might be feeling a little hurt by all your comments.

iwantanafternoonnap · 16/11/2013 15:48

OMG!! Now I like purple but that is ridiculous. Carpet up the bath WTF!

SoupDragon · 16/11/2013 15:52

Zippyzoppy, perhaps they will welcome the constructive criticism given they want to sell their house.

MarshaBrady · 16/11/2013 15:53

Oh my word.

BabyMummy29 · 16/11/2013 15:55

OMG do they seriously expect to sell this house? That is one of the worst I have seen/

Purple paradise - not!

ouryve · 16/11/2013 15:59

You know, I love purple, but....

And what's with the dining suite in the bedroom? Or the bed in the dining room? Or whatever.

Zippyzoppy · 16/11/2013 16:05

Soup - if they wanted the mumsnet constructive criticism, they would have put it on Mumsnet to be critiqued!!

They have put it up for sale with an estate agent which has been linked by the OP, which in my book isn't an invitation for wholesale piss taking.

ControlGeek · 16/11/2013 16:06

I missed the dining table in the bedroom due to the sheer purpleness of everything.

On second look, the thing that really freaks me out is the voyeuristic positioning of the bar stool in the bathroom Shock

jimijack · 16/11/2013 16:12

Makes me feel a bit nauseous.

Awful.

paulapantsdown · 16/11/2013 16:21

This is about a mile from my house! Looks really nice from outside, but who knew Prince had his UK bolthole/holiday home here?!

Yama · 16/11/2013 16:24

Actually, the wall units in picture 5 would probably really appeal to my dh.

mousmous · 16/11/2013 16:27

the bed in the dining room looks like it folds up into the unit around it. good use of space if you had guests around.

I guess dmil's house wold look like that if dfil would let her Wink

MrsCosmopilite · 16/11/2013 16:28

I quite like the purple kitchen units. It's just a bit overwhelming.

Let's hope the Estate Agent can do their stuff. I've been told I need to tone my decor down if I want to sell. And it's not as intense as the house I linked to!

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 16/11/2013 16:28

If they didn't want criticism they should not have allowed it to be in the public domain.

optimusic · 16/11/2013 16:47

If they are on here, then hopefully they are taking everything on board. I really feel sorry for the EA with this one. Trying to convince them to tone it down, and by painting the house purple, that isn't what they mean by neutral. Never mind giving them the feedback from viewers.

BrownSauceSandwich · 16/11/2013 16:48

Wow.

QuintessentialShadows · 16/11/2013 18:11

Maybe it is supposed to be a ....

.... Bed & Breakfast!

MoonlightandRoses · 16/11/2013 20:37

[Hands Quint her coat] Grin Grin

MisForMumNotMaid · 16/11/2013 20:39

Its the cadburys house.

Primrose123 · 16/11/2013 22:02

I think it's a brilliant selling ploy. I have seen this house on a few threads on Mumsnet and on Facebook. Thousands of people must have seen this house today, and I bet some will think that's it's a great house that just needs new carpets and to be painted throughout. I think it's a clever way to get your house noticed!

SoupDragon · 17/11/2013 07:58

You think they did that to their house to get it noticed? Confused
