Hi mumsnetters-

We are thinking of having electric rain sensor velux/or fakro windows put in extension ceiling? Sound good but worried they may stop working and end up faulty etc. Anyone had some put in - what have been your experiences?

I've never put them in but I have put in loads of Velux windows and their customer service is brilliant.
I had a client with existing 20yo Veluxs that the double glazing seals had blown on, Velux could identify exactly what he'd got(even though they were 20yo) and came out very neatly and efficiently fixed the windows. I was extremely impressed.
I'm guessing they would be the same if there was a problem with rain sensor windows.

I can echo the praise for Velux too ! If they are going to be too high to access then any form of assistance to help you open them is a good idea ! I'd say go for it !
I had a velux window that for no apparent reason cracked - they came out and replacde not only that window - but all of the others in my property so that I wouldn't be worried the same thing may happen again !!!!
