IKEA Kitchen owners - over here!

Placed my order for a new kitchen yesterday but they were out of stock of all their cheaper (£250)fan ovens. So am now looking to find them elsewhere, have found one in Argos that is the same height and width as the Ikea one but is 6mm deeper than the Ikea one. It would still be shallower than the depth of the cabinet. Will this matter? Thanks so much in advance

I would ask Ikea, it will be to do with the clearance needed at the back so that the cabinet doesn't get too hot. It isn't something to take a chance on. We have always found Ikea kitchen staff to be very helpful.

If it helps, we bought a Whirlpool oven as most of their ovens are the exact same size as the Ikea ones. We bought ours from Appliancesonline.

In fact the only Ikea appliance we bought was an extractor fan, the dishwasher, combi microwave, oven and hob all came from other places, mainly appliancesonline.

Thanks Leeloo, when I asked they just said to get one with the same measurements and it was standard sized. 6mm seems a tiny difference, but you are right is not worth taking a risk. Will have a look at Whirlpool and that website, thanks
