ONE MILLIAON POUNDS for a two roomed flat?

The world has gone mad.

footflapper · 09/11/2013 15:14

Looks lovely! But I would knock that mirror over as soon as I walk in Wink

I was so aerated I couldn't type

IslaValargeone · 09/11/2013 15:16

A million quid for a one bedroomed flat!
You'd need your bumps felt if you paid that.

mirandabee · 09/11/2013 15:20

Argh - stupid phone! It looks like the flat was a small part of the period building which is where he actually lived.

UsedToBeNDP · 09/11/2013 15:22

The link is pretty ambiguous too as to whether OW lived in the BUILDING or in the actual flat. If you read the description carefully it actually suggests that he lived in the same building for 5 years, but not the individual property listed for sale Hmm

mirandabee · 09/11/2013 15:22

Sorry - looks like my previous post disappeared!

YoniRotten · 09/11/2013 15:23

It is very beautifully done inside, wow.

Mintyy · 09/11/2013 15:23

Its lovely though, isn't it?

UsedToBeNDP · 09/11/2013 15:24

X post with Miranda. Makes the six figure price tag look even more ludicrous. Obviously there are pockets of London where tiny flats demand outrageous prices but I'll wager that there has been a % added for the "celebrity" address factor.

bigTillyMint · 09/11/2013 15:29

It is indeed, Mintyy - I think we are looking past the price tag because we are used to ridiculous London prices!

BasilBabyEater · 09/11/2013 15:30

I don't like the kitchen.

Bet Dear Oscar wouldn't have liked it either...

Hobbes8 · 10/11/2013 11:19

Ooh my friend from work used to live in that building. I've had dinner there. She rented a room in a 2 bed flat and joked that there were two people living in what would once have been Oscar Wilde's drawing room or whatever. Imagine how beautiful it would be if it were still a whole house. wistful sigh

PattyPuddy · 10/11/2013 15:35

but where do you keep your stuff ?

Mintyy · 10/11/2013 15:57

Patty - you keep all your stuff in your country house. This is just your London pied a terre of course!
