house move...am I rushing??

heres the deal, we put our house on the market 2 weeks ago, we accepted an offer 2 days later. We then put an offer in on the house we want soon after (it was accepted a week ago) however the vendors are yet to find a house they want. There needs are very specific and there's not alot available...3 houses they could view but they are now on holiday. The chain below us is good to go and get surveys' etc however im panicking that our vendors could pull out if they don't find anything? Am i being impatient???

Do you have to buy this house? It sounds as if the vendors are quite, ahem, relaxed about finding a replacement house so you may well be right and they may decide to stay put. Have they instructed their solicitor or anything else that would suggest they are getting the process rolling?

You obviously want to move for a reason otherwise you wouldn't have put your own home on the market so are there any other properties that fit the bill?

Thanks for responding. We fell in love with this house and in fact put ours on the market for it so i guess yep this is the house for us. They were on the market about 5 months but were waiting for the right offer before they put any offers in. To their credit they did put ab offer in on one straight after we bought and they were outbid. They return home on Friday and are viewing 2 in their desired area...weve not heard from their solicitor yet but is it too soon given we only had offer accepted a week and a half ago?

Would they consider moving out and renting while they look?

We did the same - couple of times. We lost our first buyers and our second because we couldn't get an offer accepted. We moved into rented when we found our third set of buyers and had an offer accepted. Our vendors were similarly picky (its a gkat market here) so we went into rented so we didn't lose another set of buyers. And we kept looking. Our vendors finally found something 7 months later and being in rented was a god send. Probably a good idea to see what the rental market around you looks like.
