So heres the deal, we put our house on the market 2 weeks ago, we accepted an offer 2 days later. We then put an offer in on the house we want soon after (it was accepted a week ago) however the vendors are yet to find a house they want. There needs are very specific and there's not alot available...3 houses they could view but they are now on holiday. The chain below us is good to go and get surveys' etc however im panicking that our vendors could pull out if they don't find anything? Am i being impatient???

Yes and no. You getting ticklish isn't going to make anybody move faster, but yes, if you don't look like you're going to move, your vendors might pull out. You really need to keep lines of communication open with your buyer, gauge how impatient they're getting, and be prepared to make a move if you need to keep them.

You have a few options:

  1. Persuade your vendor to move into rented ( ideal, but unlikely)
  2. You move into rented (a pain, but puts you in driving seat)
  3. Look for another house to buy where the seller is in more of a hurry
  4. Try to stall your buyer a bit. It can't be a massive surprise to them that there's a bit of a wait, but you do want to know that your vendor's putting the effort in too.

Buyers might pull out. Not vendors.
