We've currently got an Ideal (oh the irony of that name!) boiler which came with the house when we bought it. Over the past three years we've had several breakdowns and been left without heating or got water. It's covered by homeserve but the call out times are getting more and more ridiculous, think 4-5 days with no hot water or heating. We desperately need a new boiler but obviously the cost is a big hurdle. We've been looking into British Gas and the payment plan & cover are big pluses but I keep seeing negative reviews of their service online. I don't know if people tend to post reviews more when they're unhappy with a service but it is a big concern. Anyone got any first hand experience they can share with me?
