Blinds from Hillary's or local supplier?

I've used Hilary's blinds a couple of times to supply and install venetian blinds and they've done a good job. But I've always felt they were expensive and I get irritated by their sales tactics i.e. the 50% off (what?).

Would I get a better deal by using a small local company to supply and fit?

Yes you would, have used both Hilary's and local supplier. Local supplier was loads cheaper even with Hilary's 50% discount. Our local one will even have blinds made in our own fabric, we supply the fabric and he gets them made and then fits them.
